Scholarship Workshops

Paying for COLLEGE with scholarships

1. Introduction to Scholarships

Before you dive into the many scholarship books, YouTube tutorials, and spam-heavy databases that are out there, attend this introduction to scholarships for college.

Learn about philanthropists and why the scholarships they create are so hard to find on the internet. Develop an informed approach to the search process and a realistic timeline before you or your student plans to enroll in college.

2. Finding Scholarships that Fit

Start building awareness of how your educational milestones, professional goals, and personal missions connect you to the philanthropic goals of local non-profits, universities, and individuals.

Leave this workshop with a categorized list of search terms, a 3 step-process for searching, and a better sense of how public institutions, private donors, and large organizations advertise scholarship opportunities on the internet.

3. Developing Unique Essays

Join this interactive workshop and develop a series of interchangeable written “modules” that can be modified to address the most popular aspects of multiple scholarship essay prompts.

Analyze 3 typical varieties of the scholarship essay prompt and learn strategies for identifying the most relevant content, details, and facts to include in your application materials. Get started writing your essays sooner rather than later.
